God of War writer pens Shank

So today the announcement finally came out that our story is written by Marianne Krawczyk — also the writer of God of War!

Marianne and I met at GDC in 2008 at the Speaker Party — at the time, Klei was still working on our previous title, but we got to talking about how much fun it would be to do an independent game where we had complete freedom to tell the story we want to. So when it came time to develop Shank, it was the perfect fit.

Marianne is super easy to work with, and we’re extremely lucky to have her work with us on Shank. I think she might have an even more twisted imagination than we do. She’s certainly not shy with the occasional F-bomb and mature content, but even the reference material she sent us was crazy. I’d work with her again in a heart-beat.
